Registration
How do I register?
Each city has its own event page with a registration link. Find your city and register for your event.
Is there a cost?
No. The events are free to attend.
Can I register for more than one city?
Yes. If you’ll be in more than one city during the series, you’re welcome to register for each.
What if I can’t attend after I’ve registered?
Let us know as soon as you can so we can offer your place to someone else. Contact information is on your city’s event page.
Is there a registration deadline?
Yes, but deadlines may vary by city, so please review the event page for more details. Advance registration is required.
How can I see who’s registered so far?
An attendee list is linked in the confirmation email sent to all registered guests. Please be sure to check your spam or junk folder for event emails.
Who Can Attend
Do I need to be a Caltech alum?
No. The series is open to the full Caltech community: alumni, students, parents, donors, and friends of the Institute.
I didn’t receive an invitation. Can I still come?
Yes. Registration is open on each city’s event page. Find your city here.
Are children permitted to attend?
Yes. While the event is designed for an adult audience, children 15 and older are welcome to attend when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please note that registration is required for all attendees, regardless of age.
The Events
What happens at each event?
The evening opens with a reception, followed by a fireside chat with President Jayawardhana, audience Q&A, and time to connect.
Will I be able to ask the president a question?
You can submit questions and topics for consideration through the registration form. Audience questions will be taken live, in person, during the event.
How long is the event?
About two hours, including the reception. Exact times are on each city’s event page.
Will there be a dress code?
Suggested attire is business casual.
Will the events be recorded or livestreamed?
These are in-person gatherings and will not be livestreamed or recorded.
Logistics
Where is my city’s event, and how do I get there?
Details about the venue, parking, transit, and event check-in will be shared with all registered guests via email before the event.
How do I request accessibility accommodations?
Please submit any requests for accessibility or special accommodations for yourself or your guest during registration so a team member can assist.
Are there any expectations for attendees?
Yes. All events follow the Event Conduct Policy, which asks attendees to help keep the events welcoming and inclusive for everyone in the community.
