I dove into the second quarter of my environmental justice project by delving into the history of the movement and examining the timelessness of environmental racism.
In the first quarter of my project, “Understanding and Alleviating Environmental Inequality in Underprivileged Communities,” I was able to explore different facets of the fight for environmental justice while contributing to the efforts in my local community.
There’s an introspection that occurs when you write and discover things about your past that start to combine into a complex tapestry of trauma, pain, but also humor and light.
The Caltech Alumni Association (CAA) was founded in 1920. Today, CAA serves a growing community of 25,500 Caltech alumni around the world, including some of the brightest minds in science, engineering, and business. Despite the many unprecedented challenges, which began in late 2019 with the COVID-19 global pandemic, CAA continues to provide programming, support, resources, and connection opportunities for Techers.
