Grad Students and Postdocs Vote in Favor of Union Representation

The National Labor Relations Board has announced results of voting from the graduate student and postdoctoral unionization elections. In the graduate student election, 1,045 of 1,439 graduate students (approximately 73% of the number of eligible graduate students) voted, with 799 ballots cast in favor of representation. In the postdoctoral scholar election, 290 of 558 postdoctoral scholars (approximately 52% of eligible postdoctoral scholars) voted, with 240 in favor of representation.
