Kyle Lakatos (MS ’14)

Hard to believe five months have already passed since the start of this journey in January. Amazing what can be accomplished in such short periods of time when we point our compass in the right direction. As it has only been one month since our last update, this current summary report will be short and concise.

From day one, the outcomes of our work have been to approach our health initiative with a community centered design. As such, I have spent the last month taking a deep-dive into the localized structures of our community partners to better understand how we can develop our work to align and support their efforts.

I have participated in a variety of group conversations, health and education workshops, and have engaged in intimate dialogue with our community partners to focus in on how to build towards cultural relevancy.
