Donald Stern (BS Physics 1958) died July 17,2021 in

Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

In his senior year at Caltech Don was the President

of Blacker House.

After graduating from Caltech Don earned his PhD

in Physics from U Wisconsin at Madison. After receiving

his PhD, Don returned to Pasadena to work at the

National Engineering Science Co (NESCO).

In 1966 Don and several colleagues at NESCO formed

Tetra Tech Corporation now traded under the ticker

symbol TTEK.

Don left Tetra Tech to earn a law degree from USC.

His academic credentials earned him the alphabet:

BS MS PHD JD

which he abbreviated in his license plate:

DSPHDJD

Don was married three times, divorced twice. He

left three children and six grandchildren.
