A Caltech Gathering in the Pacific Northwest
Caltech invites alumni and former postdocs in the Seattle area to an in-person evening with Caltech President Thomas F. Rosenbaum, the Sonja and William Davidow Presidential Chair and Professor of Physics. This event brings together the Techer community in a region known for innovation, research, and cross-disciplinary work across technology, science, academia, and industry.
Set in a downtown Seattle setting, the evening offers an opportunity to connect with fellow Techers, strengthen local ties, and engage directly with Caltech leadership in a relaxed, conversational environment.

Thomas F. Rosenbaum
President; Sonja and William Davidow Presidential Chair; Professor of Physics
Thomas F. Rosenbaum, Sonja and William Davidow Presidential Chair and Professor of Physics, is the ninth President of Caltech. He is an expert on the quantum mechanical nature of materials, conducting research at Bell Laboratories, IBM Watson Research Center, and the University of Chicago, where he served as Vice President for Research & Argonne National Laboratory and then Provost, before moving to Caltech in 2014. He received his bachelor’s degree in physics with honors from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in physics from Princeton University.
