Nate Thomas earned his PhD in Materials Science at Caltech in 2019, researching radiative thermal properties of materials. He has since worked at climate tech startups, leading teams focused on computational modeling in industries like concentrating solar and nuclear power. Still a resident of Pasadena, Nate is currently VP at HGenium, a startup out of Caltech, pioneering thermochemical water-splitting to make clean hydrogen with heat instead of electricity.
