FAQs
Registration
How do I register for Alumni Weekend?
- Registration closed on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Where can I find the schedule of events?
- All Alumni Weekend events and the most updated session details can be found on the Schedule page.
What is included in my weekend registration?
- Tickets include general admission to all scheduled events and meals for that day’s offerings. In order to attend the Milestone Class Dinner or the GOLD reception, reunion level celebration tickets must be purchased to participate. Registration closed on October 6, but you can visit the Register page to look at all ticket options and find the best one for your interests.
Why are there multiple ticket options this year?
- Daily tickets and weekend rates are here! To help maximize participation, the Caltech Alumni Association and Caltech Alumni Relations offer a range of ticket options—and help offset costs—so that more alumni can reconnect with the Institute and each other.
How is ticket pricing determined?
- The Caltech Alumni Association subsidizes a portion of Alumni Weekend’s costs, so each ticket delivers exceptional value—covering meals, faculty sessions, house events, and more.
I need to cancel my registration. Can I get a refund?
- Refunds were possible until the October 6 registration deadline. For refund requests after that date, please email info@alumni.caltech.edu for assistance processing your cancelation.
How can I see who’s registered so far?
- Visit the Attendee List page. This includes a real-time registration list populated from all registrations. Use the dropdown list under “Attendee List” to view alumni who have expressed interest in specific events.
Are children permitted to attend Alumni Weekend?
- Yes, your little Techers and future alumni are welcome! Please be mindful that most events are geared for an adult audience (i.e., alcohol served, faculty lectures) but are fine for children to attend with their parent/guardian. Sunday’s events are geared especially for children such as a family hike with the Caltech Y and the casual Family Brunch at the Alumni House where there will be games and activities. Registration is required for guests of all ages in order to participate in Alumni Weekend events.
Milestone Reunion and Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Celebrations
Can I join the Friday evening reunion dinner at the Athenaeum even if I did not graduate in a milestone year?
- Yes! All alumni are welcome to celebrate our milestone classes of 2010, 2005, 2000, 1995, 1990, 1985, 1980 no matter your final graduation year. A Reunion Class Weekend Ticket or Friday Reunion Class Celebration Ticket is required to attend. Please be sure to add your ticket during registration to join this fun evening at the beautiful Athenaeum.
How can I help celebrate my class reunion and encourage my classmates to attend?
- The more the merrier and we encourage Techers to share registration emails, social media posts, or simply call/text classmates! Click on the Milestone Class Committees page if you want to take it a step further and sign up for your class committee to help Alumni Relations with outreach efforts.
What is the Friday GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) reception?
- This year we are hosting a special reception for our Graduates of the Last Decade, those who graduated from Caltech in the last ten years. This allows for an accessible and fun option for recent alumni to celebrate together. A Friday GOLD Alumni Ticket or GOLD Alumni Weekend Ticket required to attend.
Is there a celebration for the Class of 1975 and Half Century Club milestone class years?
- Alumni of all years and degrees are welcome to attend Alumni Weekend! There are a variety of events and activities for all alumni to enjoy. Milestone celebrations in October will focus on 15th through 45th class reunions.
- In May 2025, we offered a standalone celebration for Half Century Club alumni and the newest Half Century Club inductees from the Class of 1975 who gathered for their 50th reunion. The Half Century Club includes all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Recognition also included members of the Classes of 1975, 1970, 1965, 1960, 1955, 1950, and 1945.
