From Thursday, May 14, to Sunday, May 17, 2026 Caltech welcomed alumni back to campus for the Half Century Club celebration honoring the Class of 1976. Throughout the weekend, alumni reconnected with classmates, explored campus, and celebrated more than 50 years of shared Caltech history.
Highlights included the:
– Class of 1976 Nostalgia Session
– Induction Lunch with Provost Tirrell in Dabney Lounge and Gardens
– Half Century Club Reception with President Rosenbaum at the President’s Residence
– House Happy Hours that brought together current students and alumni
– Tours at JPL, Mount Wilson Observatory, and Caltech Archives
The best part of the weekend was seeing alumni gather for moments of reflection. Whether it was looking through former yearbooks, swapping Caltech ID cards, or discussing how things have progressed, sharing memories was the foundation of the entire celebration. The weekend also gave alumni opportunities to revisit familiar places and update one another on life after graduation. From conversations over meals to moments spent exploring the latest advances in science and engineering, the celebration brought alumni together – and that’s what mattered most.
Thank you to all alumni and guests who joined this special tradition and helped make the 2026 Half Century Club celebration such a meaningful celebration. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus next year from Thursday, May 13–Sunday, May 16, 2027.
