Anton Monk (MS '90) to Serve as Representative Member to Board of the RVU Alliance

The RVU Alliance announced the election of Entropic Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENTR), a world leader in semiconductor solutions for the connected home, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Anton Monk, Entropic's co-founder and vice president of Technology will serve as Entropic's representative member.

Anton Monk, Ph.D co-founded Entropic Communications Inc. and serves as its Vice President of Technology. Dr. Monk is responsible for new technology, standards activities and patents at Entropic. He served as Vice President of Communications Technology at Entropic Communications. He led the engineering development of Entropic's coax-based multimedia networking chipset development. He has over 15 years of experience in communication systems research and development.

Prior to Entropic, he led physical layer system design and IC verification for several Conexant product lines, including cable modems, fixed wireless access and digital cable. He was also responsible for standards development in these areas and for business development and partnering in the fixed wireless arena. Before Conexant, Dr. Monk led physical layer system engineering and IC verification developments in cable, satellite, and fixed wireless ICs at ComStream Corporation, and performed communication system research at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena.

Dr. Monk serves as Member of Technical Advisory Board of X-Digital Systems, Inc. and Pico Digital Inc. Dr. Monk holds a B.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
