Andrea Prosperetti Elected to National Academy of Engineering

Election to the academy is considered among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to engineering research, practice or education, and to the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology.

Prosperetti, who is the Charles A. Miller Jr. Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, was recognized for “contributions to the fundamentals and applications of multiphase flows.”
