This October 18 marks the kickoff of the 4-day Wharton Club of the National Capital Region (WCNCR) Climate Change Conference, and with the help of its hosts, including the Wharton Risk Center, Wharton Clubs across the nation, and ColumbiaDC, we invite all Caltech alumni to attend virtually and free of cost. Some of the best minds in the world—including our own Caltech alumnus Dr. Brian Von Herzen, Director of the Climate Foundation—will be discussing climate change adaptation, mitigation, restoration, and climate change investment opportunities.
Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time. Keeping the climate safe for future generations will require a multilateral approach and trillions of dollars toward mitigation, adaptation, and restoration activities. The Wharton Club of National Capital Region (WCNCR) is hosting a virtual climate change conference to increase awareness, examine core topics of climate change, and open doors for new opportunities and collaboration.
The conference will have two panels each day from October 18 - 21, 2021 focusing on the challenges and opportunities to combat climate change. Topics include climate adaptation, climate mitigation, restoration and on the investment opportunities in the core areas of climate change.
The conference is co-hosted by the Wharton Risk Center, ColumbiaDC, and several Wharton Clubs across the nation.
Featured speakers include His Excellency Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, Chairman, Arctic Circle, Ex-President of the Republic of Iceland, Ms. Christine Harada, Former Chief Sustainability Officer for the Obama Administration, Shiv Khemka, Global Vice Chairman, SUN Group, and Chairman, The Global Education & Leadership Foundation, and many distinguished others.
This is a registration page for all four days of the conference. You only need to register once. Learn more about the schedules and speakers here: https://riskcenter.wharton.upenn.edu/wcncrconference
