The Caltech alumni panelists comprising VC, corporate VC, and angel funding will hear and review the four Pitches we have selected from interesting alum-led startups. . . (And, if a pitch resonates with a funding strategy ... the pitcher might get a callback!)
In addition we are inviting other alums from venture capital firms which will be introduced to make it easier for attendees to meet them. Some very interesting alumni-led startups have presented in our previous events, potentially helping investors with deal flow. However, most past panelists and attendees say the benefits they have found from this event are having fun, learning something from the presenting companies and investors, and helping alumni entrepreneurs and alums in general.

Comments from Previous Years' Participants
“The feedback I received was very valuable and helped me to refine and clarify my pitch… I would definitely recommend other entrepreneurs to participate.”
“Based on the feedback, we refocused our business plan and company strategy and streamlined our pitch… I would recommend others to participate… best for early-stage companies that are looking to refine their pitch and receive feedback.”
Should I Attend?
Absolutely! Whether you are with a startup that is currently seeking funding, considering it in the future, or simply interested in the startup process, we invite you to attend. The Caltech Honor Code applies to this all-alum event; we believe alums will have an unusually good chance to find truth rather than just spin to questions you may have about startups and entrepreneurship. This type of environment is hard (if not impossible) to find in non-alumni events.
Plus, if you want to connect with a mentor or a mentee, this event will be a great opportunity!
Finally, this will be an opportunity to introduce yourself to any panelist or special investor attendee one-on-one in case you may want to contact them in the future about investing in your startup.
