Charles McDougall (BS '47)

Charles McDougall (BS '47) began his studies at Caltech in 1939, but took time out to become a Navy pilot in WWII. After 4 years of duty, he returned to complete his BS. He is now enjoying an active retirement as a Life Member of the Caltech Associates and as a grandfather. "Among my great grandchildren," he says, "one is in college and one is just learning to walk and talk."   

David Caldwell (BS '47)

David Caldwell (BS '47) is currently Professor Emeritus and Research Professor in physics at Stanford University. He continues his active search for dark matter, and says that "this is now the most exciting it has ever been. There may be big news relatively soon." In his words, the "tiny news" is that, after a recent hip replacement, he is back on the tennis courts to up his game.
