Village Life Along Croatia's Dalmatian Coast
June 17-25, 2008
Join Caltech Alumni Travelers and faculty leaders Jason and Zorka Saleeby as we explore the fascinating history and geology of the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. Cruise with us in comfort for seven nights aboard the yachtlike M.Y. MONET into the heart of small ports, where a fascinating convergence of Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and Slavic cultures is manifested in finely preserved, medieval walled towns.
Among the many included features of this program is the unique Village Forum, where local residents share their insights into life in the region. To further enhance your understanding of the rich history, deep-rooted cultures and magnificent artistic legacy of the Dalmatian Coast, this program includes exclusive guided tours, lectures, and opportunities to experience local culture and
traditions, including a tasting of local wine. By exclusive arrangement, a leading expert will discuss restoration efforts in Dubrovnik.

Accompanying us throughout our journey will be Caltech's Jason Saleeby,

Croatian. They will present lectures and lead discussions delving into the unique
geology of the region, as well as sharing their personal experiences of Croatia's
history and culture.
