American Heart Association Los Angeles County Heart Walk

    The American Heart Association's Los Angeles County Heart Walk
    will take place at the Rose Bowl. Registration is at 8:00 am, opening ceremonies and the 5K walk begins at 9:00 am.

    Attend the next Social Activism Speaker Series (SASS) lecture. The next lecture will be delivered by Sakura Kone, Director, Rebuild Green/New Orleans. The title of the talk is "RIGHT TO REMAIN: New Orleans residents combat attempts to price them out of the city." SASS is a Caltech student organization that focuses attention on current social and political issues by inviting prominent activists to share their experiences and perspectives with the Caltech community and the public.

Caltech Day at the Races

    Description
    Caltech's Day at the Races will be held in the infield at Santa Anita Racetrack. Tickets are on sale at the Caltech Human Resources office. The cost for tickets is $29 for adults, $23 for teens (13 to 18 years of age), and $15 for children (four to 12 years of age). Children under four get in free. The ticket fee covers parking, a program, and a buffet
    consisting of barbecued Angus tri-tip, grilled tequila-lime chicken, and all-beef hot dogs. October 18 will be a Family Fun Day at the track, featuring pony rides, face painting, a bounce house, and carnival games for the kids.

Caltech Architectural Tour

    Description
    A walking tour of campus led by members of the Caltech Architectural Tour Service (CATS). The tour starts at the Athenaeum and encompasses the historic campus, a selection of buildings of the modern campus, and the newly expanded north campus. Docents present a detailed history of the architecture and take visitors into some of the public spaces of the early campus. Architectural tours are a special service of the Caltech Women's Club.

Caltech LGBT + Allies Barbeque in Pasadena

    Join Caltech/JPL LGBT + Allies for an afternoon of food and fun in Tournament Park. Friends, families and pets are welcome to attend. Activities will include tie-dye, volleyball, croquet, and playground area for children.

    Protein and burgers (meat, veggie and vegan), fixings, water, sodas, and baked goods will be provided. We will also provide cups, plates and utensils. Alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed in Tournament Park.
